Ever get chatter when using a fingernail (spindle) gouge to shape the outside of a hollow vessel? Try grinding off the heel (I'll post before and after pictures when I get a chance) on one of these little sanders . . . BTW, nothing is better for getting a clean cut than a sharp fingernail gouge . . . takes practice, but I challenge you to get as clean a cut with many other tools . . . especially on spalted/punky woods.
